Chulita Pituca - Desde Guadalajara

This mix is dedicated to my biggest influence, my dad. In the spirit of fathers day.
From hearing Pink Floyd over a market’s stereo in Guadalajara to falling in love with my mom to the Cure in Los Angeles, this mix transcends my fathers youth into my childhood. A mix of rock en espanol, new wave, and classic rock, “Desde Guadalajara” is my childhood, riding round in my pops Chevy Blazer while he showed me his cuts of Guadalajara and Los Angeles. These are the songs I sang on my way to school and requested on the radio as soon as I got home. 90’s to now, I’m bumping these and learning my own cuts of San Francisco. Guadalajara to Los Angeles and Inglewood to San Francisco, this is my pops and Pituca.

Every week we feature a mix from one of our very own Chulitas- the mix comes directly from her vinyl collection.
